To get to the trail head: from the Phoenix area, take I-17 North toward Flagstaff. At Cordes Junction, take HWY-69 towards Prescott. After leaving the Prescott Valley area, you'll reach the intersection of HWY-69 and HWY-89. Stay left on Gurley street and make a quick left turn onto Robinson Drive into a residential area. From Robinson Drive, turn left on Hillcrest, which quickly turns into Butterfield Road. When you reach a five way intersection, turn right onto Wells Fargo Road. When Wells Fargo road turns north, look on your right for a small, hidden dirt road (the trailhead sign is tough to spot). Take this well graded dirt road to the parking area and Turley Trailhead.]]></c:value>

To get to the trailhead: from the Phoenix area, take I-17 North toward Flagstaff. At Cordes Junction, take HWY-69 towards Prescott. To short cut the distance, take Fain Road North to bypass Prescott and head directly to HWY-89A. Take HWY-89A East towards Jerome. At the summit of Mingus mountain, turn right on the signed junction for the Methodist Camp (FR104).

LOWER TRAILHEAD: Take the well graded dirt road FR104 for 1.3 miles. Turn right onto FR413 (sometimes signed as Allen Springs Road). This road is rougher and rutted, so a high clearance vehicle is recommended. Take this road 3.0 miles to the signed trailhead on your left.

UPPER TRAILHEAD: Take the well graded dirt road FR104 for 2 mile, following the signs that lead to the Methodist camp. Turn right on the signed junction with FR104B. After driving 0.2 miles, you'll see the signed trailhead on your left. ]]></c:value>

To get to the trailhead: from the Phoenix area, take I-17 North to Cordes Junction. Take HWY-69 towards Prescott here. Traveling into Prescott from this route, the main street becomes Gurley St. Once you get to downtown, turn right (North) on Montezuma. This road soon becomes Whipple St., then it becomes Iron Springs Road. Keep an eye out for Granite Basin Road and make a right on this road. Take this paved road 3.9 miles to the signed parking for the Metate trailhead. As of May 2014, there is a $5 day use fee for this area. This trailhead has both restrooms and water.]]></c:value>

To the Trailhead: From the Phoenix area, take I-17 to the junction of HWY-69. Turn left onto HWY-69 towards Prescott. After about 12.2 miles, make a left turn at mile marker 274 (the road is not signed). Take this well graded dirt road for 2 miles. There are a number of forks on this road but if you stay on the main road (or what appears to be the most traveled road) you will be OK. After about 2 miles on this road, the road becomes very rocky and only high clearance vehicles can continue. This is not a road you want to be on when it is wet. Drive 0.7 miles to a green gate. Hopefully the gate is unlocked and you can drive through it (closing it behind you) and drive another 0.7 miles to the trailhead and parking area. ]]></c:value>

To the Trailhead: From the Phoenix area, take I-17 to the junction of HWY-69. Turn left onto HWY-69 towards Prescott. At the intersection between HWY-89 and HWY-69 towards the town of Prescott, turn left (HWY-69) and head towards downtown Prescott on Gurley Street. From downtown Prescott, turn right on Montezuma St. This turns into Iron Springs Road. When you reach Williamson Valley Road, turn right (North). Williamson Valley Road is also known as county road 5 and is a really enjoyable drive through grasslands, remote ranches, and mountains. You'll take this road about 22 miles to the signed turn for Camp Wood (turn left). This is FR 21, which you will follow for 15.2 miles to the signed junction with FR 95. Turn right onto FR 95 and drive 0.3 miles to the small trail marker sign for FR 95C (turn right onto this road). This area is kind of wide open with the road difficult to find. So look carefully for the FR 95C marker. Once you find FR 95C, follow this rocky road (high clearance vehicles required) about 2.0 miles to the signed start of trail #6. Park here where available. ]]></c:value>

To get to the trail head: from the Phoenix area, take I-17 North toward Flagstaff. At Cordes Junction, take HWY-69 towards Prescott. Just after leaving Prescott Valley, you'll turn left onto Walker Road (near the Costco). Take this road 10.5 miles where it meets the junction with Poacher's Row road. Walker road starts out paved and stays that way for the majority of the time. However, it does change to well graded dirt. There were passenger cars on this road, but I felt more comfortable with a medium clearance vehicle. You'll go through a residential area, so please keep a low profile so we can continue to have access to this trailhead. At the signed intersection with Poacher's Row road, turn right and drive 0.1 miles to the signed turn for the Isabella trail. Drive on this rocky and rutted road for 0.1 miles (high clearance vehicle needed) and park in the small parking area on the left.]]></c:value>

You'll take this road about 36 miles (after 22 miles it turns to a dirt road in great shape). Soon after crossing an old metal bridge across Walnut Creek, you'll see a sign marking the turn for County road 125. This road is also in excellent shape. Turn left and follow this road for 1.5 miles to the signed parking for the Juniper Spring trailhead. ]]></c:value>

To the Trailhead: From the Phoenix area, take I-17 to the junction of HWY-69. Turn left onto HWY-69 towards Prescott. At the intersection between HWY-89 and HWY-69 towards the town of Prescott, turn left (HWY-69) and head towards the town of Prescott on Gurley Street. Not long after this turn-off, you will turn left (South) on Mount Vernon Street. From this point, it is 6.7 miles on a paved road (Known as the Senator Highway and FR-52)to the end of the pavement. From the end of the pavement, go another 0.3 miles and turned right at FR79, which is signed as Whispering Pines Camp. After 1.8 miles you will pass the turn for FR79B (stay left) and cross the Hassayampa River (really more of a creek). After 0.4 miles, turn right at a clear fork (but unsigned). In 0.2 miles, turn right at the sign for the Kendall Camp Trail 65. This last sign has seen some abuse from firearm enthusiasts so it may not be readable when you take this hike. Go another 0.7 miles on this increasingly rocky road (high clearance recommended) until you see a wood fence on your right. The parking area is just ahead where the road forks. You could continue on (right) to the actual trailhead (about 0.2 miles away), but unless you're on a ATV I wouldn't bother.

After passing through the downtown Prescott area, soon Gurley street turns into Thumb Butte Road. After the road changes to Thumb Butte road, the Thumb Butte day use parking area appears on the right after about 1.5 miles. Continue past the Thumb Butte day use area for another 1.7 miles to a signed junction with a blue sign. Turn left here towards Copper Basin Viewpoint. From this junction, drive another 0.6 miles and park in the clearing on the right that marks two camp sites (#5 and #6 I think). The unsigned trail starts on the other side of a rock and earth berm on the south side of this clearing. There was a trail sign there but someone decided to blast it to bits. ]]></c:value>
