To get to the Trailhead: From the Tucson area, headed South on I-10, get off on the Speedway Blvd exit and head West (right turn). Turn left (South) onto Greasewood Road, then turn right (West) onto Anklam Road. After driving 0.8 miles, turn left onto Players Club drive. Take this road 1.1 miles and turn right onto Starr Pass Blvd (follow the signs to the JW Marriott resort). As you near the backside of the resort property, you'll see the signed trailheads on your left (assuming you are driving clockwise around the loop that circles around the property). Parking is tricky here, as the proximity to the resort restricts where you can park along the road. Be aware of the no parking signs. Your best bet is to park near the Lorraine Lee trailhead, as there is parking along the road available here. ]]></c:value>

From the Phoenix area, take I-10 South to the McCartney exit. Head east on this road until you reach the signed turn for Cox road. Turn left here and follow this road North into the signed North Mountain park. The road soon turns to well graded dirt. Follow the signs to get to the park. The dirt roads can be a bit of a maze here, so keep an eye out for the signs that will point you in the right direction for the park and the hiking trail. The trail start is just to the left of Ramada #2. There is no water here, but there are primitive pit toilets. ]]></c:value>

To get to the Trailhead: From the Tucson area, take I-10 South to the Speedway exit. Take Speedway west into Saguaro National Park. This road is narrow and steep in places, so oversized vehicles are not recommended. Follow the signs to Saguaro National Park and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum by making a right turn onto Kinney Road. After about 2 miles, you will reach the turn off for the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. Drive past the turn off and park at the first dirt parking area on your right. The parking area for the trailhead isn't signed, although if you walk a bit up the trail, you can see the sign.]]></c:value>

From the Phoenix area, take US-60 East to the town of Superior. Once in Superior, take HWY-177 South 9.6 miles to Battle Axe Road (on right). It's a 4.5 mile drive on a dirt road to the trailhead. A high clearance vehicle is highly recommended. After 1.6 miles, stay right at the fork at the coral. At 1.9 miles, stay right again at the fork. After 3.3 miles, there is a narrow spot in the road, just after a cattle guard. After 3.8 miles, stay right again (to the left is a pretty neat spring). At 4.4 miles, you'll reach a barb wire fence, after which is a steep downhill. This is a pretty serious hill, 4WD recommended. If you are worried about getting back up this hill, this would be a good place to park and walk the short distance to the trailhead parking. If you're confident in your vehicle and your driving abilities, head through the barb wire fence (close it behind you). After 4.5 miles, leave the main dirt road and turn right. Drive the short distance (staying left) to a small turn around. Park here and start walking along the trail next to the brown Wilderness trail marker to the trail register (about 100 yards from the parking area). ]]></c:value>
